Kareena Kapoor never thought her role of a prostitute in the film Chameli would win her so many accolades. If all goes well. the actress’s wax statue at London’s Madame Tussaud’s museum be carved in her Chameli look. Bebo who is a stickler for highend clothes and loves to be seen in chic outfits is not too happy with the choice.
She would not like her wax statue to be attired in over the top outfits which she had to wear for the sake of her character in the film. However, the officials at Madam Tussaud’s have given indication that they would want the Chameli look for the statue. Tussaud’s is too big an honour to let go off. In spite of her misgivings, Bebo has reportedly given her nod for the waxwork to be made. "Several looks were discussed, but it was finally decided that her Indian look is the best and the one which she had in Chameli , for which she won many awards is the best suited," a source said.
Chameli established Kareena as a serious actor in Bollywood and had won her many a award. Sources close to her have also confirmed that officials from the museum have taken her measurements to start the work on her statue which will be unveiled soon. The outfits of the film Chameli were designed by Manish Malhotra. So, is dressing up Tussaud’s dolls his next big assignment?
For Mahie Gill, who essays the role of Maria Susairaj in Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming film Not A Love Story, it was difficult and taxing to portray the life of the Kannada starlet, who recently walked free in the Neeraj Grover murder case. "The scenes of the murder and its aftermath were difficult for me to relate with," Mahie said, after launching a promotional song for the film in Delhi. "We shot in the same building - the incident happened in room 201 and we shot in 1501, so it was creepy at times to realise how it would have been when this happened in such a small room. We used to talk about all these things," she said. The film releases on August 19.
