This talented niece of actress Hema Malini was said to be having a lot of talent which was evident from her very first film "Phool Aur Kaante"(1991) with newcomer Ajay Devgan.
But sadly enough, Madhoo did not get the kind of response she should have been getting after her film did so well. She was left far behind by actresses who hit the screens much after her.
Madhoo is someone who did not believe in pushing her work. She believed in her talent and had confidence which is lacking in many actresses, her age.
Though she has not got as many films as her counterparts, yet she is not complaining. She is happy doing roles that suit her personality and attitude. So far Madhoo has few good films like the runaway successful "Roja" with Arvind Swami, "Diljale" with Ajay Devgan and "Pehchaan" where she played the role of Sunil Shetty and Saif Ali Khan's sister who happened to be a whore.
Madhoo is married to Anand Shah. They have two daughters Ameyaa and Keia. Madhoo is still active in showbiz doing ramp shows for charity programmes.
